Veterans Memorial Park is at 301 S. Main St., on the corner of Main and Church in Historic Downtown Aubrey, according to The Aubrey Town Post. The city calendar lists that address for this Saturday morning, for the first Saturday of December, and for the first Saturdays of September and October.
So Aubrey's holiday season is easy to plan. Most of it is one park on a monthly rhythm. The one evening it leaves downtown is the Sunday after the tree lighting, when the holiday market sets up at a beer garden on Spring Hill Road.
Four First Saturdays, One Address
The City of Aubrey's calendar is the most reliable record of this fall, and it keeps listing the same location. The Fruit Jar Junction Farmers Market appears there on Sept. 5 and Oct. 3, 2026, both times from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 301 S. Main St. Aubrey For Veterans is set for Saturday, Nov. 7. The Christmas Tree Lighting is set for Saturday, Dec. 5.
| Date | Event | Hours | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sat., Sept. 5 | Fruit Jar Junction Farmers Market | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | 301 S. Main St. |
| Sat., Oct. 3 | Fruit Jar Junction Farmers Market | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. | 301 S. Main St. |
| Sat., Nov. 7 | Final 2026 Fruit Jar Junction market, plus Aubrey For Veterans | 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. | 301 S. Main St. |
| Sat., Dec. 5 | Christmas Tree Lighting | 5 to 9 p.m. | 301 S. Main St. |
| Sun., Dec. 6 | Aubrey Holiday Market | 5 to 9 p.m. | Oak Tree's Beer Garden, 598 Spring Hill Rd. |
The table shows how simple the downtown schedule is. From September through December, every date on the city's list for the park falls on the first Saturday of the month. The December events also change the time of day. All fall the park was busy in the morning. The tree lighting runs into the evening.
This Saturday, the Park Hosts Two Events at Once
Nov. 7 is the one day this season when two separate events use the lawn at the same time. The Aubrey Town Post reported that the Fruit Jar Junction Farmers Market closes its 2026 run that morning from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and that the market does not come back until the 2027 season. The city has Aubrey For Veterans at the same address from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Here is how Saturday lines up by the clock:
- 9 a.m. The last Fruit Jar Junction market of the year opens at Veterans Memorial Park.
- 10 a.m. Aubrey For Veterans begins in the same park while the market vendors are still set up.
- 1 p.m. The farmers market closes for the season.
- 1 to 4 p.m. The veterans event has the park on its own for the rest of the afternoon.
- 4 p.m. Aubrey For Veterans ends.
So the busiest stretch is between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., when both events are running. If you want to buy produce and also see the opening program, plan on arriving before 10. The Town Post says parking along S. Main and the nearby side streets is generally workable for a mid-morning arrival, and that getting there closer to the 9 a.m. opening gives you first pick of vendors and an easier time finding a spot.
The Town Post also describes the market's mix: farmers, ranchers and growers alongside vendors with handmade art, crafts and homemade food. Because it's the last market until next season, Saturday is the last chance this year to stock up on local produce downtown.
What the Veterans Program Brings to the Park
This year is the second Aubrey For Veterans. According to The Aubrey Town Post's preview, the City of Aubrey hosts it, the event is free, and last year's first edition set the format. The preview says the program opens with a formal Presentation of Colors, followed by patriotic music and an MRE eating contest, where participants eat through the shelf-stable field rations known as Meals Ready to Eat.
Because the program starts at 10 a.m., the ceremony happens while the farmers market is still open. The Town Post notes that families who stop by for fresh vegetables will be a few steps from the color guard ceremony. It also points out that the overlap wasn't planned. Two separate events share the same park, and Saturday is when their schedules happen to meet.
The veterans event runs three hours after the market closes, so you have room to plan around it. If 9 a.m. doesn't work, the park still has a full event through 4 p.m.
Four Weeks Without a Downtown Event, Then the Tree Lighting
After the market packs up on Nov. 7, the park's next big date is Dec. 5. That Saturday the city holds its Christmas Tree Lighting at 301 S. Main St. from 5 to 9 p.m.
That makes four weeks between the two big dates, and the tree lighting is a different kind of event than the fall Saturdays. The fall markets ran four hours in the morning. The tree lighting runs four hours in the evening, from late afternoon into the night. The city's event listing has the date, hours and address, and it's the page to check for program details as the date gets closer.
The tree lighting is also the only date in this stretch that falls on a first Saturday at the park and isn't a market day. The park held the market, then the market and the veterans event together, and in December it holds a holiday event in the evening.
The Next Evening, the Holiday Market Is on Spring Hill Road
Sunday, Dec. 6 is when the season leaves downtown. NTX Vintage Market's Eventbrite listing has an Aubrey Holiday Market from 5 to 9 p.m. at Oak Tree's Beer Garden, 598 Spring Hill Road. The listing says it's free and family-friendly, with local vendors, live music and food trucks.
Its hours match the tree lighting the night before: 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday downtown, then 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday on Spring Hill Road. That's two evenings in a row with the same time slot at two locations. If you're planning for family or guests that weekend, you can keep 5 to 9 p.m. open on both nights.
The host is also a regular spot. Oak Tree's calls itself an outdoor neighborhood beer garden and full bar with rotating food trucks. For one night, holiday vendors come to a place that already has food trucks and a yard set up for gatherings.
What Fills the Weeks Between
The four weeks between Nov. 7 and Dec. 5 don't include a first Saturday, so there's no park date in that stretch. Oak Tree's posts a weekly schedule. According to its website, Oak Tree's has:
- Wednesdays and Thursdays: all-day happy hour
- Fridays and Saturdays: late hours and live music
- Sundays: Sunday Funday, with lawn chairs, cornhole and food trucks
That gives a pattern for the season. The park has one big Saturday a month. Oak Tree's has something every weekend. And on Dec. 6 the two overlap when the holiday market goes to Spring Hill Road and fills the Sunday Funday slot with vendors and live music.
Here's the season by weekend, starting with the day this post goes up:
- This Saturday, Nov. 7: Veterans Memorial Park from 9 a.m. The market's last day overlaps with Aubrey For Veterans until 1 p.m., and the veterans program goes on until 4.
- The weekends of Nov. 13 through Nov. 29: Oak Tree's weekly schedule, with live music on Friday and Saturday and Sunday Funday.
- Saturday, Dec. 5: Christmas Tree Lighting at Veterans Memorial Park, 5 to 9 p.m.
- Sunday, Dec. 6: Aubrey Holiday Market at Oak Tree's Beer Garden, 5 to 9 p.m., free admission.
If you're bringing out-of-town guests during the holidays, the Dec. 5 and 6 weekend gives them both locations in two nights: the park downtown on Saturday and the beer garden on Spring Hill Road on Sunday.
